Riceball Bento Tool

Wooden bear plate with plain rice balls on top of it

I found the fastest, but also fun way to make small rice balls for your bento box! It’s a cute bento rice ball maker I found on Amazon that makes it so easy to make small pieces of sushi!

Here’s a little tutorial:

  • Make some steamed rice

  • Add a small amount into the rice ball maker

  • Shake vigorously, shake shake shake!!

  • And then it comes out as a ball, ready for your toppings!

Plain rice balls made with the rice ball tool. The toppings are laid out, ready to be put on them, it's ham, cucumber and cheese.

I do recommend wiping it down between uses, otherwise it can get quite sticky and the balls won’t form as well. I am currently making a savory version with cucumber, ham and cheese, but the possibilities are endless! This tool is also very handy when you want to make chocolate truffles, yum!

If you want to start your bento box journey or simply enhance it, I highly recommend this rice ball maker. It’s so cute and easy, I’ve linked it just below here for you! If you’re looking for other bento tools or supplies, I’ve linked my Amazon Storefront as well where you can find a bunch of other goodies!
